Vancouver’s 604 Records has spent more than two decades looking firmly at the future of pop, rock, and everything in between, notching up some of the biggest hits in the history of recorded music along the way. This continues, naturally, but through the label’s newly announced archival series, 604 Decades, founder Jonathan Simkin is taking some time to pay tribute to some of his favourite local bands ever — the ones that never got their due in the ‘80s, ‘90s and early ‘00s. And the right time for that is right now.
